Terms of Use

Welcome to Duality: AI Chatbot Assistant. These Terms of Use are the simple agreement between you and Duality: AI Chatbot Assistant, the developer of the app ("we", "us"). They explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you. They take effect on 2026-10-30.

Saying yes by using the app

By downloading, opening or using Duality, you agree to these Terms. If they don't feel right to you, that's okay, but please don't use the app. These Terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled.

What you're allowed to do

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Duality on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms and the Apple App Store's usage rules. You can't copy, modify, resell, rent or redistribute the app, and you can't try to reverse engineer it or pull out its source code, except where the law specifically allows this.

Using Duality kindly and lawfully

Please use the app in good faith. Don't use it to break the law, to harm, harass or deceive others, to create or spread content that is illegal, abusive or infringes someone else's rights, or to try to disrupt, overload, probe or get around the security of our backend. Don't use automated tools to scrape or mass-query the service. If someone uses the app in ways that put others or the service at risk, we may limit or stop their access.

A word about AI replies

Duality's replies are generated automatically. They can be helpful and thought-provoking, but they can also be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. Treat them as a starting point for your own thinking, not as professional advice. For medical, legal, financial or other important decisions, please speak to a qualified person. You're responsible for how you use what the app gives you.

Subscriptions, billing and cancelling

Some features may require a paid subscription or purchase. All payments go through the Apple App Store using Apple In-App Purchase, and they're charged to your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal before the current period ends, following Apple's rules. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its own policies, not by us. Prices and what's included will be shown in the app before you buy.

Who owns what

The app itself, including its design, name, branding, text, graphics and software, belongs to Duality: AI Chatbot Assistant or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't give you any ownership of it.

The questions and messages you write are yours. To the extent you own rights in the replies generated for you, those are yours as well. You give us permission to process your content as needed to run the app and produce your replies, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please only submit content you have the right to share. Because AI can produce similar answers for different people, other users may receive replies that resemble yours.

No guarantees

We put real care into Duality, but the app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Duality: AI Chatbot Assistant won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or any generated content. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived under the law that applies to you.

When things change

We may update the app, change or remove features, or revise these Terms from time to time. When we change the Terms, we'll update the effective date. If you keep using Duality after that, you're accepting the updated Terms. We may also suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.
